What is JJL Business Tools?
JJL Business Tools is a small-business pricing and profit system that connects business targets, customers, reusable services, proposals, job tracking, invoices, and actual job results.
Do I need to understand accounting to use it?
No. JJL is designed around plain-English business questions and practical job math. It is not a replacement for professional tax, legal, or accounting advice.
Does JJL replace QuickBooks?
No. JJL is focused on pricing, job decisions, proposals, invoices, and profit visibility. QuickBooks can remain the accounting system of record. JJL already supports QuickBooks-ready exports, and a deeper direct connection is part of the longer-term integration plan.
Can I create proposals and invoices in JJL?
Yes. Proposal Studio supports Good / Better / Best packages, add-ons, payment schedules, Profit Guard checks, saving and reopening proposals, and creating an invoice from the selected option. Invoice Center supports standard, deposit, progress, and final invoices.
Does my data save across devices?
Signed-in users can cloud-save jobs, customers, Price Book items, quote follow-up data, invoices, proposals, business settings, and key Profit Checkup settings. Local browser storage remains as a fallback for supported tools.
Do I need to give my email to use the free Profit Checkup?
No. The homepage Profit Checkup can be run without an email address or signup.
What kinds of businesses can use JJL?
JJL is designed for independent service and job-based businesses such as contractors, painters, landscapers, cleaners, handymen, mobile services, creative professionals, salons, and other businesses that need to price time, direct costs, and overhead.
How much is JJL?
The founding JJL Core membership is priced at $59 per month. Until paid billing is activated, account creation does not charge the user. Once checkout is live, payment details and renewal terms are shown before purchase.
Can I export data to QuickBooks?
Yes. JJL includes QuickBooks-ready CSV exports for relevant customer, product/service, invoice, time, and job data. Direct automatic QuickBooks Online sync is a later integration stage.
Can customers pay invoices through JJL?
The invoicing system is structured for payment integration. Direct customer payment processing through a connected processor such as Stripe or Square is a planned next layer rather than an active customer-payment feature today.
